JSC Plant POTENCIAL
Over 400 people work at the Joint Stock Company Plant Potencial. They produce electric drills and electric drilling units not only for oil and gas hole making but for carrying out work in coal-mining industry, piers construction, passages under rivers, and in case of Metro and other civil and industrial projects building. Listed products of the enterprise are submersible electric motors for centrifugal pumps intended for oil and water pumping out, mobile sources of seismic vibrations used in geophysical and exploration. The plant fulfills quite large volume of work on oil and gas stop valves repair and production. Relit face seals are now used in many branches of industry. The plant has a unique base on testing submersible asynchronous electric motors and electric insulating materials.
Engineering and design departments of the plant allow designing and producing of goods in accordance with requirements of individual customers.
The plant Potencial was created in 1972 on base of Kharkov Electromechanical Plant (KhEMZ). Main task of the newly formed enterprise was organizing production of electric drilling equipment for boring oil and gas wells in regions of the West Siberia, Volga river and Turkmenistan.
From 1979, the plant began to carry out its functions as a pilot and experimental manufacture for production of new equipment that was designed by Special Planning and Design Office for Submersible Electric Equipment VNPO Potencial. The serial production of submersible electric motors for oil production rotary pumps drives and face seals for their hydraulic protection have been manufacturing from this period. In the 1980-th the plant began production of nonexplosive seismic sources for geological exploration.
The plant is now exporting over 70% production to CIS countries.
From 1994 the plant Potencial is a joint-stock company.
The plant's main customers are National Company Turkmenneft (Turkmenistan), National Stock Company Bashneft, Public Company Bashneftegeophyzika in the city of Ufa, JSK ALNAS in the city of Almetjevsk, PC Privod in the city of Lysva (all in Russia), PC Ukrneft (Ukraine) as well as many others oil and gas production company from Russia and Ukraine.
