Mining and metals business of SCM united under Metinvest Group umbrella produce 10.8 million tonnes of steel, over 11 million tonnes of rolled products, more than 5 million tonnes of coke and over 40 million tonnes of iron ore annually. The company's energy business, DTEK, generates 22% of all power produced by Ukraine's thermal power plants. Financial assets of SCM two banks and two insurance companies are among the leading financial businesses of Ukraine. Fast-developing telecommunications business of SCM is number two in the fixed line market to the state-owned operator, Ukrtelecom. In addition, SCM also has a 44% share in Astelit, operator of the Life brand, which ranks third in the country's mobile phone market.
