 Biomass LtdUkrainian company "Scientific Engineering Centre "Biomass" Ltd. (SECB) was registered in January 1998 and is currently the leading commercial Ukrainian company working in the sector of energy production from biomass (combustion, gasification, pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion, landfill gas extraction and utilisation, liquid fuel production) and preparation of JI projects under Kyoto Protocol. For the moment staff of SECB is 25 persons (including 7 Ph.D.). The main activities are consultancy, R&D, feasibility studies, participation in implementation projects in the field of bioenergy technologies, development of Joint Implementation projects, design works of energy facilities. SECB has participated in the preparation of more than 30 commercial, demonstration, R&D and consulting projects in the field of bioenergy technologies (see "Projects"), and also more than 35 JI projects in different industrial sectors of Ukraine. SECB is an official representative of several manufacturers of equipment for energy recovery from biomass. SECB is constantly organizing international conferences and profile seminars on Biomass for energy and Development of JI Projects.
