EcoClub “Green Wave” - is an environmental organization for students and alumni of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Kyiv, Ukraine). The goal of our work is to help preserving environment through educational and practical actions.
EcoClub was founded:
- to to give students an opportunity to get the professional experience in the field of environmental protection;
- to assist environmentally-minded students in their personal growth as well as to unite students community with the principles of environmental protection;
- to build up the University’s image as first “green” educational institution in Ukraine EcoClub is working since January 2006. Our work began from realization such projects as separation of solid municipal wastes on the campus territory, the photoexhibition “Chornlobyl Today: 20 Years After the Accident”, installation of parking-place for bicycles on the campus territory, forming the collection of educational movies about the nature and organizing their regular screening (project “Green Cinema”) etc.
EcoClub’s members:
- get an opportunity to initiate and realize their own environmental projects;
- can take part in the on-going projects;
- get the latest news about Club activities;
have the possibility to take part in the different meetings of environmental NGOs, to represent EcoClub at the national and international environmental events;
- could freely use our collection of “green” movies;
- take part in trainings dedicated to such topics as the team-building, self-development etc;
- have an opportunity to communicate with our guests – specialists in environmental protection – from all over the world.
