 The Figure-skating federation of UkraineThe Figure-skating federation of Ukraine (FSFU) is the Ukrainian public organization. Its aims are to develop Figure-skating in Ukraine, to popularize physical training and sport, and to promote the healthy lifestyle. In 1992 the Federation was officially recognized by the International Skating Union (ISU) as a self-dependant organization. Since then the active international activity of the organization started. It includes the participating in the Olympic Games; in world, Europe championships; in World championships among juniors; in World Student Games and other international competitions. The Ukrainian Figure-skating Federation is considered a great authority in the world owing to the “Ukrainian souvenir” ISU International Junior Grand Prix held in Ukraine and to the successful performance of our figure-skaters on the international arena. Among the primary tasks of the Federation are stated: - The development of figure-skating in Ukraine, make it play a larger part in the overall development of a personality, health strengthening, the formation of a healthy lifestyle. - The improvement of the training system for highly qualified sportsmen, trainers, judges; ensuring the successful performance of the Ukrainian sportsmen at the Olympic Games, World and Europe championships and other international competitions. - Establishing closer ties with international and other Federations, associations, unions.
