Agro-Trade Company LLCFounded in 1998, Agrotrade was then called East-Ukrainian Agro-Industrial Company. Initially, its major activities included supplying agricultural businesses and sugar mills with petroleum, oil and lubricants, trading in grain and sugar. Acquisition of procurement enterprises (Gadiatskyi and Dvorichanskyi silos, Vodianske, Zachepylivske, Kolomakske grain collection stations) encouraged the management to engage highly qualified professionals in creating its own production complex, building and renovating new production facilities, arranging for procurement of marketable produce. This gave birth to Agrotrade’s team. In 2002—2005 the company took over new enterprises (Khorolskyi fodder mill, Blyzniukivskyi, Kupyanskyi, Vorozhbianskyi, and Lutuhynskyi cereal product facilities, Doch-Khlib grain collection station, Samoilivskyi silo) and started playing a significant role in the domestic and foreign wholesale markets of grain and oil crops. In 2006 Agrotrade management launches a new activity — agricultural production based on SK-AGRO in Sumy Oblast. This turns the company into a vertically integrated holding with a closed agricultural production cycle — production, processing, storage of and trade in agricultural produce. ver a few recent years the company's land bank has grown to 30,000 ha in Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv Oblasts. Now Agrotrade is among top five leading agricultural companies of Ukraine. The strategy of vertical integration and diversification into new segments of the agricultural market helps to stabilize the company, minimize reliance on market conditions and effectively develop agricultural production.
