 National Aviation UniversityThe history of our institution begins since 1963, when the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering (FACE) was founded. On March 21, 2003 as the result of reorganization of NAU the Institute of Information Science began its activity. The director of the Institute of Information Science is Honored Inventor of Ukraine, Professor, Doctor of Science (Technology), Zhukov Igor Anatoliyovych, a graduate of FACE of our University. The institute of Computer Technology consists of 2 faculties, which include 7 departments. The educational process is performed by outstanding scientists, known by their scientific and pedagogical achievements both in Ukraine, post soviet counties, and other countries of the world. More than 180 highly skilled teachers, among them 37 Professors and Doctors of Sciences, 74 Assistant Professors and Candidates of Science are working in the Institute of Information Science. Contemporary teaching methods, the systems of information and technical ensuring, the existence of up-to-date computer network with the access to Internet and specialized laboratories provide high level of student training. (traininy) Our students have the opportunity to get the second higher education at the NAU Institute of Post - Craduate Training. The directions of training are: management, marketing, accounting, economic safety, etc. Students showing deep interest in scientific research and graduating with Honour, are recommended to continue education in post-graduate and magistrate study. Languages of education are Ukrainian, Russian, and English. Students with exellant result in academic and scientific activities gain scholarship. At the students disposal are the scientific and technical library, canteen and cafes, the University Sports Centre, students' hostels, museum of the History of University, The Art and Culture Center. Students can get the rank of a reserve officer after training at the Faculty of military training. The education can be payed for by the state budget, and by the juridical and physical persons. For students from other regions the hostels are available, they have the opportunity to be connected to the existing computer network and to get access to Internet. Graduates from the Institute get diplomas of "Bachelor," "Specialist," and "Master" of the State pattern of National aviation University.
