Ukrainian Industrial & Investment ConcernIn April 2005 Ukrainian Industrial & Investment Concern, one of the largest national corporations which incorporated more than 30 enterprises of different business activity, changed its organisational structure by combining them into UPI Group. Ukrprominvest Concern was founded in 1993. Its name fully reflects the main goal of its establishment - to invest into Ukrainian industry. However, during 12 years of its activity serious changes have taken place in national economy, and the Concern always succeeded in planning its business in accordance with current national legislation and market challenges. Despite of chaotic nature of privatization, the Concern has always kept its own style: creation of new job places, rise of wages, investment into manufacturing programs, total reconstruction of enterprises, and manufacturing of competitive products. Reorganisation of Ukrprominvest is the first step towards creation of a transparent structure, which should be clear and familiar to foreign investors. This new structure anticipates more dynamic cooperation with foreign corporations as it allows the Group to use the consolidated financial balance sheets, which make the Group a more attractive partner for large financial institutions. New plans of the Group are to continue investing Ukrainian economy by developing assets of enterprises, penetration to international financial credit markets and targeting further operations at the western equity markets. The co-founders of the Group are such famous Ukrainian corporations as Bogdan, Roshen, Ridna Marka, OJSC Cherkasskiy Autobus, Lutsk Automobile Plant. CJSC Ukrprominvest being also a co-founder of this new structure has become its actual predecessor. An average number of Ukrprominvest employees in 2007 was 31 528. Gross profit of the Group in 2007 was over UAH 14,6 billions.
