Bilotserkivskiy National Agrarian UniversityEducational traditions in Bila Tserkva are rather old. Historical connection between the previous educational institutions and the modern agrarian university which comes from Vinnytsa collegium can be observed easily. 1630. Superior Marzin Zelenskiy established a collegium at a Jesuit monastery in Vinnytsa, the centre of Bratslav area. The collegiums trained pupils in Grammar and Poetry and since 1632 in Oratory as well. Funds of Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University Scientific Library contain about 600 000 volumes of tutorial and scientific literature. The University library is a branched network of 7 reading halls, 5 scientific and tutorial departments. The Arts and Culture Faculty plays an important role in training modern intelligent personalities and skilled specialists. The faculty was established in 1962 and named ?public professions department? until 1992. 320 students were trained at its five sections (Music, Library work, Journalism, Photo and Physical Training). In 1975-2002 the faculty was headed by prof. V.Krykunov. During this period the number of section expanded to 13 and the number of the students made 750. The performance skills of the students were improved as well. Students can receive a second diploma in addition to the diploma of the main specialty and for some students the profession they were trained at the Arts and Culture Faculty has become their occupation. A lot of the faculty arts groups were awarded the title of ?People?s?. They won a lot of diplomas, prizes and awards at the contests of different levels. Nowadays the university is a powerful arts and culture centre which includes a House of organ and camera music, a local history museum, a music school. Students of the faculty perform their achievements at the annual concerts which are of great popularity among the university staff, students and guests.
