 Lviv Centre for Scientific Technical and Economic InformationEstablished in 1967 the LvCSTEI is a leading state scientific informative structure in the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Western region. Lviv is a well-known and powerful center in the IT-sphere. There are two universities, national university ?Lvivska Politechnika? and Ivan Franko National University, that prepare a qualified stuff for this area. Academical institutions (Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics etc) are making researches in the IT-sphere. Generally, Ukraine participates in 93 projects (Six Framework Program), 9 of which are in IST area, and 8 in area of nanotechnology. In PRO_NMS project events, organized by our centre, have been participating representatives of 6 organizations that carry out projects of Six Framework Program. We are doing our best in running the www information service, organizing infodays, workshops and conferences. The LvCSTEI carries out the information-analytical inquiries, consultations and aid in business plans development, runs the publicity-information campaign in Internet, web-page creation, use of Internet services for business and education; distance consulting; computer technologies for automatization of clients' production activity.
